One day of paid leave granted to participate in approved formal volunteering activity, through supporting registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and community based organisations, during a time that an employee would otherwise be rostered at work.
Purchasable Annual Leave:
Eligible Miele employees have the option of purchasing annual leave over and above their entitlements, up to an additional 4 weeks per year. Also, employees can apply to be paid out for their annual leave by cashing in up to 10 days annually.
Miele understands the importance of family and offers primary caregivers up to 12 months of combined paid and unpaid parental leave, with the option of a further 12 months unpaid leave. In addition to any Government contributions, eligible maternity leave employees receive 10 weeks leave on full pay.
As part of our commitment to families, we also offer paternity leave: Paternity Leave is a single, unbroken period of up to 52 weeks of which one week is paid, taken by a male employee upon the birth of his child.
