In 2011, acclaimed Australian chef Shannon Bennett undertook the greatest challenge of his life - moving his award winning Vue de monde restaurant to the dramatic new location on the 55th floor of Melbourne's iconic Rialto building. From the beginning, Shannon’s goal has been to make Vue de monde Australia's most sustainable restaurant. More than 50 cutting-edge technologies are being utilised, from an E-water system to 'cold kitchen technology' (no exposed flames or gas). Shannon is using homegrown and small-farm organic produce wherever possible and recyclable products.
Shannon Bennett is the chef and owner of Vue de monde in Melbourne, one of Australia’s most acclaimed restaurants. Having taken Vue de monde from a small, 40 seat restaurant to the diverse group of businesses it is today, Vue de monde has also been awarded an unprecedented 19/20 from The Age Good Food Guide and has repeatedly been named Australian Restaurant of the Year.
As well as being a celebrated chef, Shannon is the Miele Brand Ambassador for cooking appliances. Given his belief that a great meal is best achieved with excellent ingredients and quality equipment, his synergy with Miele is a natural one.
In his role as ambassador, Shannon has trained a team of Miele Home Economists, inspiring them with his cooking techniques, recipe suggestions and passion for quality. When you attend an appliance demonstration, a Miele Home Economist will in turn pass this knowledge and expertise on to you.
