“Steam ready” indicator light flashes 6 times and “Water container empty” indicator lights up

Start a descaling operation. To do this, press the Descaling Salt button (Descale) for several seconds.

If the Empty the residual water drawer indicator light (Empty residual water drawer) lights up:

1. adjust the steam ironing system to its highest working position.

2. Remove the residual water drawer.

3. Empty the residual water drawer and then put it back in place.

If the Water container empty indicator light (Water container empty) lights up:

1. Remove the water container.

2. Fill the water container with fresh water (approx. 25–35 °C) up to the descaling mark Descaling Salt.

3. Add a Miele descaling tablet to the water container.

4. Push the water container back into the machine.

If the Water container empty (Water container empty) and Empty the residual water drawer (Empty residual water drawer) indicators light up:

1. Remove the water container.

2. Fill the water container with fresh water up to the mark.

3. Put the water container back in place.

4. Remove the residual water drawer and empty it.

5. Put the residual water drawer back in place.

If the Empty the residual water drawer indicator light (Empty residual water drawer) lights up again:

1. Remove the residual water drawer and empty it.

2. Rinse out the residual water drawer thoroughly and dry it.

3. Put the residual water drawer back in place.

Following automatic switch-off, you can switch the steam ironing system back on and use it as normal.

Switch the steam ironing system off and on again.

If the indicator light flashes again, please contact the Miele Customer Service Department.
