Gas appliances must be positioned at least 30 cm away from combustible materials at the rear and 25 cm at the sides and 120 cm overhead. When the grill lid is open, it extends the depth of the grill, meaning it cannot be placed directly against a wall. 

Whether you have a large garden or a small balcony, a corner space, or plenty or limited storage space: the Miele outdoor kitchen adapts to your individual needs and circumstances.

However, to get the most out of your outdoor cooking and barbecuing experience, there are a few points to bear in mind when choosing a location. The outdoor kitchen must only be operated in an above-ground, open-air setting with natural ventilation.

There must be no stagnant air at the installation site, as this can hinder the discharge of

gas and combustion products. Gas emissions and combustion products must be dispersed quickly and reliably by wind and natural convection.

Any canopy (e.g. a roof overhang or pergola) must have a

minimum usable height of 2.3 m beneath the roof and must not be enclosed on more than two side walls.

The outdoor kitchen modules must be installed on a firm, level and stable surface. Any unevenness in the ground must be compensated for by adjusting the levelling feet.

Some of our modules require mains connections as well as connections for cold and hot water and wastewater. This must be taken into account when planning your outdoor kitchen. Please refer to the relevant installation diagrams and user manuals for further information.    

Yes. You can optionally book an assembly package through Miele (subject to location). The price depends on the size of the outdoor kitchen. 

The time taken to set up an outdoor kitchen depends on various factors, such as the local conditions, the overall size of the kitchen and the modules it comprises.

However, we have a ‘Plug & Cook’ approach: the modules are delivered pre-assembled, ensuring that the on-site assembly work remains seamless. This means the grill, including the integration of the grill top and base unit, could be ready for use within 20 minutes.

For the Fire Pro and Cool modules, you will need a 230 V mains electricity connection. The Cook module can be connected either directly to the mains electricity or to the 12 V supply of the Fire Pro grill. The Sear Pro top-heat grill does not require a mains connection; it only needs one AA battery, which is included with the product.

The Miele EasyLink accessory allows up to three gas appliances to be operated using just one gas cylinder. This requires the gas distributor, which is available to purchase separately. It can be fitted in any module that houses a gas cylinder. Gas hoses with quick-connect fittings in various lengths then supply the appliances with gas – at any position within the kitchen layout.

The Wash module requires two connections: one for cold water and one for hot water. The sink mixer tap features 550 mm long G³⁄₈” x M10 hoses (with G ½'' adapters) for connection to cold and hot drinking water. 

 In addition, the sink module is fitted with two sinks, each of which has a drain with G2” connections for easy disposal of waste water.

As ground conditions can vary considerably depending on the installation site, all outdoor kitchen modules are fitted with flexibly adjustable feet in addition to their sturdy castors. This allows the height of the outdoor kitchen to be adjusted by up to 3.5 cm, so that any unevenness (even in specific areas) can be easily levelled out.
